Simon is a British film and television composer. Simon graduated from the University of Bristol with a Masters Degree in Film and Television Composition.

His credits include National Geographic’s Animals Up Close with Bertie Gregory, following the first series Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory. Simon has also scored independent feature films such as Diamond of the Sea, nominated for Best Australian Film at the Gold Coast Film Festival, The Novel, which won Best Picture at the NoHo Cinefest and Obsession: The Beryl Burton Story which premiered at Sheffield DocFest. He also co-composed scores for BBC series including World’s Sneakiest Animals, Animal Babies, Life in the Air and Animals Behaving Badly alongside composer Will Hyde.

Simon’s approach to composition is rooted in experimentation and exploration of sound. combining traditional orchestration with organic, analogue and unconventional sound sources. He often builds scores from tape players, modular eurorack systems, analogue synthesizers alongside live musicians and real-world instruments. This blend of human performance, analogue texture and electronic manipulation allows him to create a distinctive, evolving sound worlds tailored to each story.
