After Simon finished scoring for the National Geographic documentary ‘Animals Up Close with Bertie Gregory’, released on the 13th September 2023. Following on from the first series 'Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory' released in 2022. He went on to score the feature 'Diamond Of The Sea' that has been nominated in the Best Australian Film category at the Gold Coast Film Festival and premiers on 26th April 2024.
Simon studied Composition in Film and Television at Berklee College Of Music and went on to complete a Masters in Film and Television Composition at The University Of Bristol. Since leaving university Simon has co-composed the scores for BBC series World’s Sneakiest Animals, Animal Babies, Life In The Air and Animals Behaving Badly, alongside composer Will Hyde.
Simon is now keen to expand into the world of film and television dramas. He discovered his love for this genre after scoring the short film 'Demons' directed by Abdullah Al Maawali. Writing music for dramas allows the composer to take a more experimental approach, which is fundamental to Simon's writing and has written many albums in this style for production music companies such as, SATV, Universal Production Music, Bspoke, Boost, Big Screen Music, Counter Music, BMGPM, Motus Music and Thermal music.
Simon has composed the music for Ann Summers first ever cinema advert ‘Love, Lust and Everything In Between’. He has also composed Ad campaigns for established brands such as Prostate Cancer UK, World Gold Council, Dyson, Castrol Oil, Nike, Co-op, Bwin, Robert Mondavi and the creation of the sonic identity for Purina Pro Plan.
As well as writing music for broadcast and TV, Simon also releases music under his commercial artist alias Rokkr, receiving plays on BBC R2 and featuring on many official Spotify playlists.
